The MSC Musica is a luxury cruise ship with a variety of ways to keep its many guests happy and entertained. From enticing restaurants, to live music, to the Aurea Spa, this ship really does have everything.
There are three cruising experiences to choose from on the MSC Musica and in fact all the MSC ships: the Aurea, Fantastica and Bella experiences. The experience that you choose will bring a different feel to the cruise. The Bella experience was created specifically for the budget-conscious guest. The Fantastica experience includes all benefits within the Bella experience, with additional dining benefits and one free cruise change, for if you can’t go on the original date you selected. The Aurea experience boasts the most benefits, such as priority boarding and luggage drop off, a welcome package, the opportunity to choose the location of the cabin and a strong focus on relaxation and wellbeing.
When it comes to the cabins, there are four different kinds available: interior cabins, ocean view cabins, balcony cabins and suites. All cabins come with either a double bed or two single beds, a place to sit, a bathroom, a television, telephone and a safe. Interior (inside) cabins are ones with no windows. They often have one to two beds that can fold down from the wall at night which makes the cabin suitable for three to four guests. This cabin is perfect for guests that look forward to spending time on the rest of the ship, rather than spending the day in the cabin. Ocean view (outside) cabins come with a porthole that allows natural light into the room. They are slightly larger than inside cabins and can also come with fold down beds. Balcony cabins come with a balcony, as in the name. The balcony will have a small table and chairs for guests to enjoy the view. The inside sitting area comes with a couch that can be pulled out and made into a sleeper couch. Suites are very similar to balcony cabins, however, the room is much larger, the wardrobe is very spacious, and there is a bathtub rather than a shower in the bathroom.
When you go exploring the ship, you will find that there are extensive options for entertainment. The Teatro La Scala presents live theatre shows with a very talented cast of singers, dancers, acrobats, magicians and more. There are lounges and bars across the ship where guests can sit and listen to live music. Some of these are small and intimate areas and others can seat over 400 people, with music being anything from soft jazz to rock and roll. Many guests enjoy dancing the night away at the Q23 Disco, where there is a live DJ from 11pm.
The card room gives guests the opportunity to enjoy games such as chess, bridge and more with the supplied chess set and cards. For guests that enjoy reading, there is a library with many books available to peruse. Guests that like taking their chances with lady luck will appreciate the Sanremo Casino that has both card tables and slot machines. If you would like to purchase a souvenir to remember this trip by, the onboard mini mall has an array of items that could be to your liking - MSC merchandise, watches, perfumes, sweet treats, jewellery and more!
Photographers will take photos throughout the cruise, which will be available for purchase in the ship’s photo gallery. There you will be able to see the photographs that have been taken of you in various sizes as a memory of the trip. Wi-Fi connection is available across the whole ship for those needing to catch up on some work or just to post their fabulous holiday photos on Instagram! Guests looking for outdoor entertainment will enjoy the two swimming pools or one of the four jacuzzis. Of course, the wonderful entertainment team schedules games and activities both indoors and outdoors. Details can be found on the day-to-day itinerary left in your cabin.
Families with children and teenagers are also taken care of on the MSC Musica. Parents can enjoy a carefree cruise while their babies, children and teenagers are in one of the various kids’ clubs (that are separated by age) with age appropriate games in each club, as well as staff to look after the younger kids. There is also a children’s swimming pool, as well as an outdoor children’s games area. The mini arcade, with claw machines and video games, is also there with younger people in mind.
On the MSC Musica, an assortment of food is available. There are two formal dining restaurants, Belle Époque and L’Oleandro. L’Oleandro is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, whereas the Belle Époque is only open for dinner. Gli Archi e Il Giardino is the self-service buffet and pizzeria that offers many Italian and local-inspired dishes. There are always vegetarian and halaal options available on South African departures. The Kaito Sushi Bar is a speciality restaurant that will have you devouring wonderful Japanese food. The many bars that the ship has to offer will supply guests with all the coffee, sodas, ice-cream and alcohol that they can possibly want.
To maintain their well-being, many guests enjoy taking to the free gym with a range of cardio exercise equipment as well as weights. For people that don’t wish to give up sports while on holiday, the power walking track that extends across the length of the ship and the sports centre at the back of the ship can be frequented. The sports centre includes a basketball, tennis and volleyball court. Mini golf and shuffleboard are good options as less energetic activities.
Other areas of well-being can be taken care of in the famous Aurea Spa. Pretty much any beauty and spa treatment one can think of can be taken care of here, while you are cocooned in the lap of luxury. Relax while having a massage, get a brand-spanking new hair do in the hair salon or barber shop, have a facial, try out Botox or get your nails done.
The Top Exclusive Solarium is the perfect area to suntan in private. It is an adults only area. The designated yoga room is a good place for guests to destress and focus on themselves while doing various physical poses. Guests will feel that their wellness journey is complete after spending time in the therapeutic thermal room.
The MSC Musica caters to people with varying tastes and interests. Each aspect of the lifestyle that is experienced onboard the MSC Musica has been curated to make it as luxurious and relaxing as possible, while keeping the guest’s monetary needs, and any wants that they might have, in mind.
